LA Times App Reviews

Awful layout with reload problems

Buy the paper format. It is at least it is easier to read and pages dont close. Online with ads popping up, slow load and unfriendly user format is not worth paying for. A few years ago format was easy to read. Also, there is very little editing. Need to hire professional editors and designers.

hard to use

I just dont like this app. It is very hard to navigate. I cannot find an effect of "search" feature. Nothing like the user friendliness of the new York Times

Paid subscription gets ads

Whats the point of paying if youre still going to get ads every few articles. Makes it feel cluttered.

Scrolling is impossible

I like the content and how it divided and sorted, but it becomes difficult to take advantage of that when the app keep reloading as i scroll down! It does it constantly and i can barely scroll one page down when it starts blinking and takes me to the top menu again. Extremely frustrating and makes me want to stop paying for the app.

big disappointment

I purchased a 1 yr. subscription and was very sadly disappointed in the design/usability of this news app. Quality is far far below NY Times app, Wall St. Journal app, even Washington Post app. To summarize: this is an amateur level of app development - terrible!

After sucking, now just doesnt work.

Apparently we can only read 10 articles… Ridiculous. So Ive signed up to see content with ads. nope doesnt work. This app is literally useless.

Crap app!

This poorly conceived app reflects the current quality of the LATimes in all areas. I started reading the Times as a schoolboy during WW II. How the mighty have fallen.
