Pros and cons of LA Times app for iPhone and iPad

LA Times app good for

Almost everything is nice, except sharing to twitter or to facebook makes it crash. Await for bug fix please.
I use this all the time for latest news reading on my iPad before bed. accurate news coverage.
I like this app and have never had it crash on me. I just wish that it worked better. Clicking links causes it to jump to Safari quite often. Also, I d like for it to open to the latest news instead of a section of the paper that I didnt choose. But I love the direction the paper has headed in the past few years and am glad to be able to read it on the go.
I enjoy reading the LA Times for these reasons. Keep up the good work! The new format is much better than before. But I would like to see a layout like on the newspaper so you can easily browse the headlines with little scrolling.
The Los Angeles Time app gives me a quick look into the paper every day. I like to jump around in the paper. The app has a nice strip of sections at the top, and just enough highlights of each article for me to scan through to find the one I want to concentrate on.
I love the Los Angeles Times, their stories are always great. As a Californian, I love having a good west coast paper. I am a digital subscriber, and the app works great. The notifications work perfectly, they always open up to the story correctly, everything is beautifully laid out! I just wish theyd add more of a dark theme! I use this app on an iPhone 6s Plus, no problems ever!

Some bad moments

I thought it was a glitch at first, but this version keeps automatically launching the App Store to try and get me to buy other third-party apps. What a horrible revenue model.
The app is okay, the stories repeat under different topics. I would like an option to view it like the paper version.
Slow to load. Offline reading? Why bother. As soon as you go away from the app all that content you spent so much time waiting for is gone and you start over if youre not too bored by then. Good content bad presentation. This is my hometown newspaper and compared to the WSJ and my other hometown newspaper apps its embarrassing and frustrating.
I have the New York Times app and it is much better. This one just doesnt show enough articles on the screen. It is more like a poorly laid out blog then a real news app, especially sense were talking about the LA Times here. Crashing and such is not a problem, just the layout - and I am a paying subscriber so dont be fooled into thinking that as a paid subscriber that you will get a better app.
Often not responsive and too many ads even with paid monthly subscription. It also keeps forgetting Im a subscriber and makes me re-enter my credentials. Videos connected with articles almost never play.
The obnoxious blinking banner ad detracts from the reading experience so much I read the paper less.
