Ads on top of stories and constantly crashing

I so want this app to work. Im a paid subscriber and have an iPhone 6 Plus. I would think my phone would handle the ever changing ad scripts and graphic content, but my daily experience trying to read the stories ends up with frustration and eventual giving up on the days news.

Ads frequently are laid on top of stories, and since they started inserting streaming ad video, the app crashes several times in a sitting. Its to the point now where I cant read an entire story without it crashing two or three times.

I clear my cookies, unloaded and reloaded the app, turned off all other apps, reduced the font size, and have the latest version of iOS. Nothing is working.

I have contacted tech support well over a dozen times, and they respond quickly (impressive) to my app issues. However, the quality of experience using this app has not improved since I started using it last summer.

I really want this app to work. I am critical here because I want the Times to get the thing to run properly. A start would be not to launch streaming ads till theyve worked out the bugs.

I continue to hold out hope that this app will finally work properly.
